Color the Beat

I’m SO tempted to call this TECHNOcolor.

“Dancing Colors” is a project by Swiss art photographer Fabian Oefner. To achieve these firework-like effects, he scatters drops of colored pigment across a speaker and pipes music through the membrane. Colors explode with each vibration, key moments captured by a camera flash triggered by sound.

Tomorrow I will feature another one of the Zurich-based artist’s projects, but for now I’ll let his variegated artwork justify my love of rhythm-centric techno. I knew there was an element of art in there!
